The experience garnered in other challenging circumstances throughout our history has proven to be valuable during 2008 in order to successfully integrate Banco Ahorro Famsa’s platform with our retail operation and open 18 new stores nationwide.
Specific initiatives aimed at making our operations more efficient have been implemented; we initiated a project to optimize displays at our stores and carried out daily monitoring of internal customer service indicators.
As a result of such efforts, Famsa Mexico contributed 75.7% of Grupo Famsa’s consolidated 2008 revenues;reaffirming itself as the company’s central pillar.
