The success of Grupo Famsa’s operations lies in the fire-tested skills of its executive team. Our officers possess a top-class technical and execution capacity, as well as extensive experience in the segments where we operate, mostly acquired in their career path at Grupo Famsa. Below you can find the integration of our executive body:

Mr. Humberto Garza Valdez holds 32 years of experience at Grupo Famsa, and he is the son of Mr. Humberto Garza Gonzalez (our founder). During the last 21 years, Mr. Garza Valdez has performed as our CEO, and has previously served as our Deputy CEO. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administration from the University of Monterrey (Universidad de Monterrey – “UDEM”) and a Master’s in Management from the Pan-American Institute for High Business Management (Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion de Empresa – “IPADE”).

Mr. Oziel Garza Valdez holds 24 years of experience in Grupo Famsa, and he is the son of Mr. Humberto Garza Gonzalez (our founder). For the last 18 years, Mr. Garza Valdez has performed as Managing Director of our clothing and footwear business. He also previously served as Commercial Director of the Monterrey Zone. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administration from the UDEM, and a Master’s in Administration from the IPADE.

Mr. Luis Gerardo Villarreal Rosales holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the ITESM, and graduated as a CPA and Auditor from the Universidad Regiomontana, an institution of higher education in Monterrey, Mexico. Mr. Villarreal also holds an MBA from the ITESM and has completed the senior management programs at the University of Texas and the IPADE. Mr. Villarreal has served as Corporate Controller of Hylsa, S.A. de C.V. for 8 years. He also acted as Director of Administration and Finance and CEO of Sigma Alimentos, S.A. de C.V. for a total period of 9 years. To date, Mr. Villarreal has 20 years performing as Corporate Director of Grupo Famsa.

Mr. Abelardo Garcia Lozano is a CPA and Auditor graduated from the UDEM. He also holds a diploma in Finance from the ITESM, as well as a diploma in Fiscal Accounting from the Institute for Executive Specialization (Instituto de Especializacion de Ejecutivos – “IEE”). Before joining the ranks of the Company, he served as Deputy Managing Director of Plastic Art. Angel. To date, Mr. Garcia has 27 years bringing vast experience in Grupo Famsa, where he has performed as Regional Managing Director, later as Financial Information Manager and, for the past 22 years, as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Hector Padilla Ramos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology from the Northeastern University (Universidad del Noroeste – “UNE”), an MBA from the University of Sonora (Universidad de Sonora – “Unison”) and a diploma in Finance and Marketing from the ITESM, Sonora Campus. For 9 years he served as Director of Purchases of Grupo Mazon, S.A. de C.V. He held the position of Director of Purchases for 18 years, until December 2016, and currently serves as Director of Marketing. To date, Mr. Padilla has 20 years working for Grupo Famsa.

Mr. Hector Hugo Hernandez Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from the Ibero-American University (Universidad Iberoamericana – “UIA”), as well as a diploma in Organizational Development from the same institution. For 3 years he served as National Director of Human Resources of Danone de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. He later worked as Director of Human Resources at Sigma Alimentos, S.A. de C.V. for 6 years. Mr. Hernandez has worked for the Company as Director of Human Resources for the past 18 years.

Mrs. Rosa Maria Jimenez Tovar holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León – “UANL”), as well as several diplomas from the ITESM including Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Female Networking, Project Management, Balance Score Card and Leadership. Mrs. Jimenez also participated in the World Marketing & Sales Forum organized by HSM (now Wobi) in the 2006, 2007 and 2009 editions, as well as in the Wobi on Digital Transformation and Wobi on Leadership 2018 forums. Prior joining Grupo Famsa, Mrs. Jimenez performed during 4 years as Sales and Marketing General Manager at El Surtidor del Hogar, acted as Project Manager in Decoracion e Interiores en Comercio e Innovaciones, S.A. for 3 years and as Commercial Director in her own business, Imadipro, S.A. for 3 years. To the date, Mrs. Jimenez has 22 years of experience at Grupo Famsa, having performed in such time as: Business Manager (3 years), Grupo Famsa’s Market Manager (9 years), Mexico´s Marketing Director (2 years), Alternative Channels Development Director (2 years), Organizational Development and Internal Communication (2 years), Promobien’s Strategy Director (2 years), Alternative Channels (Promobien, Canvass and Gran Credito) Director (2 years) and currently acts as Chief Marketing Officer.

Jesus E. Murgueza Garza holds over 30 years of experience in private and commercial banking. From 1986 to 1992, Mr. Murgueza served as a broker at Abaco Casa de Bolsa S.A. Afterwards, from 1993 to 1997, he performed as Corporate and Multinational Banking Director of Banorte S.A, Grupo Financiero, as well as North Zone Commercial Director of the same institution. Between 1998 and 2011, he held different positions highlighting: North Zone Business Executive Director of Bancrecer S.A. and Executive Director of Retail Strategy and Consumer Banking at Afirme Grupo Financiero S.A. From 2011 to 2014, Mr. Murgeza perfomed as Regional Director at Banco Multiva S.A. to subsequently join Grupo Famsa as Commercial Director at the beginning of 2015, and since 2018 as CEO of Banco Ahorro Famsa S.A. Mr. Murgeza is a key partner at the Company due to its experience in banking as well as his relationships with other institutions. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the ITESM as wells as an MBA from Thunderbird Garvin School of International Management.
